“Thanks to the great phase linearity of CODA Audio loudspeakers, with the appropriate delay level, the output from the G515 and HOPS8 merges nicely with the APS. CODA Audio systems deliver high quality sound that exceeds the performance of conventional loudspeakers, making them ideal for an installation like this. We wanted audiences to enjoy the sound at Live Roxy and visit over and over again - that was why we placed so much importance on high quality audio.”

Since it’s grand opening in February 2018, the venue has quickly become acknowledged as one of the city’s premier clubs, offering a diverse range of musical styles and featuring both Japanese and visiting international acts. When Live Roxy’s owner Mr Mitsuhiro Matsuura oversaw the development of the club, he placed great emphasis on the use of state-of-the-art technology throughout the 882 capacity venue, believing that this would be instrumental in providing the best possible experience for visitors. Having installed a spectacular lighting rig, Mr Matsuura enlisted the help of Hibino Intersound Co. to deliver a compact and flexible high-end Audio system that could meet every requirement of the space itself and the wide range of genres to be represented.

With a low ceiling, a number of pillars in the audience area and a proportionally long distance between the stage and the back of the main hall, the loudspeakers needed to be as compact as possible to allow the best possible sightlines, whilst having high enough output to deliver sufficient throw. With these requirements in mind, Hibino Intersound Co. conducted a demonstration of a range of brands, after which Live Roxy selected a CODA Audio system.

For the front of house, Hibino Intersound Co. installed 3 x APS and 2 x U4 subwoofers per side complemented by a pair G515 full range speakers. 8 x G512 are used for stage monitoring whilst a single HOPS8 was added as a front of house monitor. CODA Audio amplification, consisting of 2 x LINUS14D and 3 x LINUS10C completed the system.
